So we can help quickly, tell us your handle, what you expected, what happened, and the browser you are using. Never send us your password or recovery key — we never need them and cannot use them.

Common questions

I forgot my password

Use your recovery key to regain access, then set a new password. Because Astro Notes is end-to-end encrypted, we hold no copy of your keys — without the recovery key, notes sealed under the old password cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.

Where is my recovery key?

It was shown once when you created your account. Store it somewhere safe and offline. If you have lost it while still signed in, generate a new one in Account settings.

How do I export my notes?

Export everything to plain Markdown files at any time from the account menu — your notes are never locked in. We recommend keeping an export of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Managing my Orbit subscription

Open the billing portal from Account settings to update your card, switch plans, download invoices, or cancel. Access continues until the end of the paid period. If a plan lapses your notes stay readable and exportable.

Sharing a note with someone

Share a note from its menu using the recipient's handle, or their email if they have opted in to be found that way. The note stays encrypted end to end, even during live collaboration.

A note will not sync across my devices

Sync merges edits automatically, even after offline work. If a device looks stale, check its connection and reload. If it persists, email us with what you are seeing.
